ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS THAT HAVE COME BACK FROM STARBOUND:
These questions have come in:
1) One of my dancers mom is nursing her baby who is 1year old that she will hold will be holding when she comes into the theater to watch. Is that going to be OK?? Let me get back with you on this one. My first response is to say no as it is counting as a person but let me double check on it. Give me until later this evening and I will let you know.
2) Do solos stay for awards and if not are they webcast? We are giving awards to the dancers right after they're done dancing. They will stay on stage after they perform and we will award them their placement. The live webcast that night will do Audience choice, Tops and Top in Category. They will not be present for that just watching on livestream. The following day the Studio Directors can pick up their top awards.
3) A title solo wants to add her solo into the regular portion of solo competition. Is it too late now? We are done with the program and tech sheets for this show. Check back with me on Monday and I will try and get it in and let you know where they will be dancing. They will not be in the program.
4) Is one parent allowed to help with a costume change? We need clarity on this please
One parent can help as long as they have the wristband for that session. A parent that doesn't have a wristband for that session will not have access to the dressing room space.
5) THE DVD/PHOTO PACKAGE IS THE "ENTIRE STUDIO" - Including all solos, duos, trios, groups of every size!!! Sign up today to keep the cost of this at the very lowest price
6) DANCER AGE AT THIS EVENT - Your dancer's age at this event is the first day of the event, not January 1st. For example, if they turned 9 years old on July 2nd, they are dancing as a 9 year old at Starbound.
And if a group averages out to be, for example, 14.5yrs - they will be rounded up and dance at 15years old. This company uses a different age system than most of the others.
