HEATHER HARRIS - FACULTY SUBSTITUTE - BALLET
Heather trained locally at both a classical ballet school and a competitive dance studio. She is experienced with jazz, tap, and character, but focused primarily on ballet. During high school, she danced the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and Wendy in Peter Pan. She was also the recipient of the Concord Pavilion Performing Arts Scholarship for dance. She earned a business degree from UC Berkeley and performed at football and basketball games as the captain of the Cal Dance Team. During college, she continued her ballet training at Berkeley Ballet Theater and later trained at Cincinnati Ballet. She is married to Nick Harris and the proud mother of four - a son, Drew, and three daughters, Halle, Brooke, and Kate, who dance at DCPAC. In addition to teaching ballet during high school and college, she has recently been working at Berean Christian High School, coaching the dance team and cheer squad. She is thrilled to join the faculty at DCPAC!
