MARISSA JANKOWSKI

Marissa Jankowski is from Martinez, California. She began dancing at the age of 2 and continued for 16 years of study in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lryical, and Hip Hop at Dance Connection Performing Arts Centre. She continued her dance training at a professional level in all styles of dance plus singing and theater training at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles. She graduated from there with honors in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Theater. 
    During college, she had the opportunity to dance for a San Francisco based digital creative studio, Seedwell, in two of their spoof music videos “Dog Diggity” and “Tweet It” racking up over hundreds of thousands of views on Youtube and aired on Good Morning America. After graduating from college, she was hired by the Walt Disney Company and was a performer in Mickey’s Soundsational parade. Also, was selected to perform with “Saving Mr. Banks” movie promotion for D23 Expo in Disneyland Anaheim. In 2014, she was hired by Stiletto Entertainment to perform on Holland America Cruise Lines Nieuw Amsterdam ship for their production shows. 
    In 2015, she performed on the Grand Celebration cruise ship as the Dance Captain and Company Manager for their production shows. While living in Los Angeles, she was represented MTA agency, Six Flags Magic Mountain’s production show Kwerkmas, a member of the dance companies Karmagraphy Entertainment and LA Follies. She also was the assistant choreographer for Roman Coppola Productions in the remastering the follie tap sounds for the iconic film “The Cotton Club” starring Gregory Hines and his brother Morris. In 2017, Marissa was hired by Norwegian Creative Studios under the company Norwegian Cruise Line and was a dancer in the production cast on the Norwegian Sun.
    She had the privilege working on and off as a teacher and award winning choreographer at DCPAC for the past 10 years. Marissa is very excited to be back joining Dance Connection PAC faculty as a full-time teacher and Company Director!!
