ANDREA SOSINE Andrea is currently the Assistant Artistic Director of DCPAC. Being born into a dancing family, she eagerly started her training at the studio at the young age of 5. She was an award winning dancer in Jazz, Ballet, and Tap for over 15 years and was featured as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the holiday show ''Clara's Christmas Fantasy'', a variation of The Nutcracker. She was a member of the Odyssey Dance Company for 7 years and began teaching as a student teacher at the age of 15. After much success, she began realizing her true passion and natural talents were in teaching. She has since produced many high scoring dances for the Junior Division Performance Teams, and has also been award ''Best Choreography''. Anyone walking through the studio will recognize one of Andrea's classes going on --- high energy, tremendous focus on her students, lots of excited dancers deep in concentration, and great music!! Her work includes directing the Junior Performance Team Division, as well as teaching Pilates, various Ballet, Children's Division, and Technique classes. Andrea continues to train and recently attended the prestigious Dance Teacher Conference in New York where she studied with notable educators Finis Jhung, Greg Russell, Sheila Barker, and Cathy Roe. She recently graced our stage in our production of ''The Grinch'' and played the role of memorable Martha May Whovier! |
