Accelerated Program

What is the ''Accelerated Program''

This is a special program designed for students who would like to accelerate their training and go to the next level. Students usually have had previous experience in the Company Division and have already competed and performed at events other than the showcase. Once a student is accepted in the Accelerated Division, they are now eligible to train in classes designated only for Accelerated Students such as Pilates, Contemporary, Heels. The additional fee monthly is $10. This fee helps to cover the expenses of administration of this program, holding special master classes, guest choreography, building special props, etc. The fee also creates a value on the program so that only students/parents who desire to achieve more and truly be dedicated will apply.

Who is Eligible

Dancers at least 7years and up through teens and young adults are eligible. Students should have at least 2 years of company dance team experience before auditioning for accelerated.

Dancers who are accepted will be required to take 2 ballet classes, 1 contemporary, 1 pilates, 1 turns, plus rehearsals. Dancers who are also in Division jazz rehearsal teams will be required to take that Division Jazz Tech class as well as that Division Rehearsal.

Guest Choreography: Some accelerated dancers are eligible to also have the opportunity to work with a guest choreographer. These are teachers who are NOT on our regular faculty. The fee to be in one of these dances can vary from $50 to $150+ depending on the choreographer, the size of the group. Students can request to be in more dances or limit the amount of dances they choose to be involved in by informing us.

These dances will then be competed and performed throughout the year at competitions and events. Dancer in Accelerated are also obligated to attend Nationals usually held in Las Vegas or Anaheim. This is a requirement for this division. Accelerated dancers are not allowed to train at other studios in any subjects they do not train here. They are not allowed to perform or compete with any other teams from other studios, dance companies.
